Description: FideliQuest uses a highly specialized proprietary process to create a custom noise profile that is closely related to the original sound. The layer of noise is inaudible, but FiDef uses a phenomenon that takes advantage of the brain’s ability to use inaudible noise to improve sound interpretation.

How does FiDef Work?

FiDef employs a highly specialized, patented process to create a custom noise profile that is tightly correlated to the source audio. The noise layer is sub-audible, but FideliQuest makes use of a phenomena that exploits the brain’s ability to make use of sub-audible noise to enhance the interpretation of sound. The plugin is provided with several profiles to choose from, but the parameters we use to build those profiles are extremely complex, using over 300 individual decision steps to analyze and create the perfect complimentary noise signal.

How is FiDef different from Dither?

Dither is a process that recovers some of the resolution that is lost when you convert from one bit depth to another. FiDef does not work on the audio data but rather is something that rides along with the audio to signal/activate the brain.
