Download Link RUDIMENTS has recently introduced a new instrument in their Kontakt Play Series called “Rudiments.” In this post, I’ll walk you through the various presets, pre-made patterns, and kits available in Rudiments. I’ll also show you how to incorporate these patterns into your own beats and create custom patterns using the kit’s one-shot samples. Additionally, I’ll provide an overview of how Rudiments works within the Play Series instrument lineup, similar to the previously released Empire Breaks.

Rudiments is advertised as a versatile hip-hop drum kit featuring a wide range of organic and synthesized drum sounds meticulously processed with top-quality gear. Each kit includes 16 hip-hop drum patterns that can be easily edited within any DAW using MIDI drag and drop functionality. This feature is particularly useful if you wish to incorporate Rudiments’ patterns into your projects seamlessly.

Download Link RUDIMENTS comes with a variety of preset patterns that you can choose from. You can adjust the tempo to your liking but keep in mind that the suggested BPM for many of these patterns is 128. Each pattern and sound in Rudiments is highly customizable. You can tweak parameters such as pitch, volume, and pan for each sound. Additionally, you can apply effects and modify patterns as needed to fit your project’s requirements.

If you prefer to create your own drum patterns using Rudiments’ one-shot samples, follow these steps:

1. Access one-shot mode on your MIDI controller (e.g., C1 on Maschine).
2. You’ll notice that the one-shot sounds are color-coded for easy identification. Kicks are typically red, snares and claps are yellow, hi-hats are blue, percussions are orange, and crashes and hats are green. Complete Control will display these color codes, while Maschine will not.
3. Experiment with different sounds and build your own custom drum patterns by triggering the samples on your controller.
