Format: KONTAKT
Quality: 24 bit 44.1 kHz stereo

Description: Created by Giorgio Tommasini & Peter Siedlaczek
Horn and Tuba version 1 was released in 2012. Although they already contained some of the advanced technologies of the latest instruments, such as early reflection and microtuning, we were asked to bring them to the level of Trombone 3 and Trumpet 3.
The package includes four different Horns and a Tuba. The main instrument material consists of 270 megabytes of samples, chromatically performed by professional musicians over a wide dynamic range. All samples are not looped and have a duration of 9 seconds. As with Trumpet and Trombone, the musical algorithm is structured according to an adaptive model based on the performance fingerprints of the real instrument. The purpose of the model is to minimize the differences between real phrases and phrases played on a virtual instrument. Activation: Add Library

Additional Information :
What’s new in Horn and Tuba 3?
In addition to improved fortissimo in the upper range, Horn & Tuba 3 includes several interesting features:
New Early Reflections (ER) Algorithm Early reflections are sound components that reach the listener immediately after reflection from nearby rear or side walls, ceilings and floors. They convey information about the spatial location of the instrument and significantly increase realism. The new ER algorithm uses the directional information of a multi-microphone in a quiet room recording environment to convey full, rich timbre, including its directional pattern, and add “taste” to the virtual space.
Virtual Soundstage. This new feature allows precise positioning of instruments in “dimensionally-free” virtual space using early reflections, pre-delay, complex panning, and perceived distance algorithms. You can move the tool forward, backward, sideways – or a combination of these movements. Moreover, the instrument can be moved in real time, simulating the movement of a musician across the stage. You can change the ratio of direct and reflected sound and even move the back wall to control the depth effect. This gives you the freedom to add a suitable acoustic environment without creating multiple space issues. This can be done within a single Kontakt Player, which provides high quality reverb convolution.
Real time Timbral Shaping (timbre profiling in real time). This revolutionary new feature adds virtually endless timbral diversity to individual instruments, operating from the amplitude of individual harmonics, or groups of harmonics, even in real time. This is not a graphic equalizer. The variable segments are not tied to specific frequencies, but to the first 10 harmonics of the note being played. As a consequence, the affected frequencies change according to the selected area. So, for example, adding compartment #1 will raise the fundamental frequency (first harmonic) of each note sounded, making the sound rounder. The growth of sections #3, #4, #5 will increase the intensity of the corresponding harmonics, making the sound more “nasal”, etc.
Microtuning This completely new feature meets the needs of musicians using non-tempered tuning, such as is so necessary in the music of the Middle East and Asia.
Expression Mapping. The user has the opportunity to independently draw changes in the CC response, which allows better control over the dynamics. Especially with input devices such as breath and wind controllers.
“For Unison Ensemble” IR. The specially designed impulse response significantly reduces phasing problems that can arise when multiple instruments are driven by the same MIDI track (i.e. in unison).
Unison Ensemble Multi. Particular attention was paid to creating realistic ensembles of solo instruments. Both when used on separate MIDI tracks, and when you play in unison on the same MIDI track. An advanced ensemble maker has been designed to influence temporal, dynamic and static pitch bend, phase, pitchbend, velocity, portamento time response such that if an instrument is driven by the same MIDI track, each instrument will sound like another musician is playing. A ready-to-play Multi featuring three specially designed Trumpets, an ensemble maker and matching reverb for unison playing. Included with the tool.
